What a press kit is for
Writers, podcast hosts and directory editors work fast. When they decide to mention you, they need your name spelled right, a one-line description, a logo that is not a screenshot, and someone to email. If they have to ask, many will not. A press kit puts all of that in one place they can find without contacting you.
What to include
- About. Two short paragraphs: what it is, who it is for, and what is different. Use the same core description you use everywhere else.
- Fact sheet. Founded, founders, location, website. Short and scannable.
- Key facts. Three to six lines a writer could quote: pricing, platforms, a real milestone, how it is built. Only facts you can stand behind.
- A quote. One or two sentences from a founder, in plain words, about why the product exists.
- Logos and images. Direct links to SVG and PNG files on light and dark backgrounds, and a screenshot or two.
- Press contact. A name and an email that someone actually reads.
Where to host it
Download the HTML page and host it at yoursite.com/press, then link it from your footer. It is a single file with no scripts or outside requests, so it works on any host. Add the Markdown to your repository or a public Notion page if that is where your community looks.
Privacy and safety
The kit is built entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server. In the HTML page, everything is escaped, and only http and https links are kept, so a stray paste cannot break the page.
The SwipeToLaunch badge
If your product is listed on SwipeToLaunch, you can add a "Featured on SwipeToLaunch" badge to your press page or site footer. It is a plain link with inline styles, no script and no tracking. Write your description first with the product description generator, and make a share image with the OG image generator.
