How it works
1,233 votes on 135 products so far.
What does a swipe do?
A swipe is one vote. Launch means you’d use it; Pass means you wouldn’t. Each person votes once per product, and the vote can’t be changed.
A product’s score is the share of its votes that were Launch. 40 Launch and 10 Pass is 80%. A product with no votes shows a dash, not 0%.
Why is 100% ranked below 92%?
Because two votes are not a verdict. Every product is ordered as if it started with 25 imaginary votes at 50%, so the rank weighs approval against how many people voted. 100% from 2 votes lands below 92% from hundreds. The percentage you see is always the plain share; only the order is smoothed. The leaderboard, the “Top ranked” sort and the APIs all use this rule.
Weekly leaderboard
Every product competes on the leaderboard in the week it was added, Monday to Sunday UTC, ranked by the votes it got that week. When Sunday ends the result is final: the top three win, and the week keeps its own page. Later votes still count toward the product’s overall score and the all-time leaderboard.
Who can add a product?
Anyone, no account needed. Paste a link and we draft the listing from the page. You check it and pick a plan. A moderator reviews every new product, usually within a day, and removes anything that isn’t real or breaks the terms. One listing per product.
Founders can add themselves and get a public founder page. People can swipe on founders too.
Signing in is optional. It lets you manage your product from any device; without it, the listing is tied to this browser.
Plans
A listing is free, or on a one-time paid plan from $9. Every plan gets the same page and the same score: votes count the same for everyone. The difference is how it goes live and where it sits. Full detail on Pricing.
Free goes live once our badge is on your homepage. After you add your product, you get the embed code; paste it into your footer, publish, press Check my site, and the listing is live. We check for the badge again about once a week. If it goes, the listing pauses until it is back.
- Ship $9: live today, no badge, Permanent dofollow link, Listing page, open to votes.
- Boost $19: everything in Ship, 7 days first in the swipe stack, 7 days at the top of the leaderboard.
- Spotlight $29: everything in Boost, 30 days first in the swipe stack and the leaderboard, 30 days pinned on the home page, Permanent gold tick.
Every paid plan goes live the moment Dodo Payments confirms the payment, with no badge, and keeps a followed link for good. Upgrades pay the difference. Nothing else changes: the score is still the share of votes that said launch, and the weekly result is decided by votes alone.
The “Featured on SwipeToLaunch” badge
Every listing has a badge you can put on your own site, linking back to it. Open /badge/your-listing from the listing or from the page you see after submitting, copy the embed code (or the prompt for your coding agent), paste it into your homepage footer and press Verify. We read your page and look for the badge in its HTML. For a free listing this is what publishes it.
While the badge is on your site, the link from your listing to your site is a normal followed link rather than nofollow. We check again about once a week; if the badge goes, the link goes back to nofollow and a free listing is paused. Our checker identifies itself as SwipeToLaunchBadge; if a firewall blocks it, allow that user agent and verify again.
That is the whole rule for followed links: a verified badge or any paid plan earns one (a plain followed link, not sponsored); nothing else does. Links in descriptions, founder profiles and store buttons are always nofollow.
The badge comes in dark and light, three sizes, and three wordings (featured on, launched on, listed on). Pick them on your badge page; the embed code updates as you go, and any variant passes the check.
Fix, claim or remove a listing
Wrong tagline, old screenshot, your product listed by someone else, or a listing you want taken down: email hello@swipetolaunch.com with the listing’s link and what should change. Corrections from the product’s own team are applied as they come in; anything else is checked against the product’s site first.

Privacy
Swiping needs no account and is anonymous: a signed cookie remembers what you swiped, with no personal details. IPs are stored only as one-way hashes, used to catch abuse. No ad trackers, nothing sold. Scores are public by design. Full detail in the privacy policy.
Under the hood
One vote per person per product is enforced by a uniqueness constraint in the database on the (product, voter) pair; rate limiting per network sits on top as a speed bump. The voter identity is the signed, httpOnly cookie rather than the IP address, because an IP would give one office, campus or mobile network a single shared vote.
Everything public is available as JSON: /api/products for listings and search, /api/stats for the totals, /api/deck for cards to swipe. Open CORS, cached, no key needed. Every page has a Markdown twin at the same path with .md appended, and /mcp is an MCP server for agents.
