About Apograph

Apograph records or imports audio and video and transcribes it entirely on the iPhone, using OpenAI Whisper models that run locally on the GPU. It works in Airplane Mode and auto-detects 99 languages. There is no account, no server and no analytics. Recordings and transcripts are saved as plain folders in the Files app.

Transcripts are split into timed sentences. You can tap a sentence to play that passage, edit it in place, or retranscribe it with a more accurate model and compare before replacing. A spell checker learns your names and terms and feeds them back to the model. You can export to text, Markdown or PDF. Recording can start from Siri, Control Center or the Action button, with a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and an auto-stop timer.

The free version includes unlimited recordings, the Fast and Balanced models, every language, and the Best model on five recordings. Apograph Pro is a one-time $14.99 purchase. It adds the Best model without limits, on-device speaker separation with labels you can rename, and SRT and WebVTT subtitle export.

About Sopravo

Sopravo is a voice recorder for iPhone and iPad that records, trims, and transcribes conversations on the device itself. Transcripts come with speaker labels, so meetings, interviews, and lectures show who said what. You don't need an account, and no bot joins your call. Recordings can be trimmed, cut, marked at key moments, renamed, tagged, searched, and exported as PDF. Live captions run while you record.

Privacy comes from how it's built: audio, transcripts, and summaries stay on the device, and the only optional backup goes to your own iCloud. After a one-time language download, the app works in airplane mode. You can also start a recording on Apple Watch, summarize voicemails shared from the Phone app, and lock the app with Face ID. The app is available in 16 languages.

On iPhone 15 Pro or later and iPads with M1 or A17 Pro, Apple Intelligence adds on-device summaries with decisions and action items, and the summary language can differ from the recording language. Sopravo is free to download with a 7-day trial, then a subscription from $19.99/year, or a one-time lifetime plan at $49.99 limited to 500 seats. It requires iOS 26.
