# Terms of Service These terms govern your use of SwipeToLaunch at https://swipetolaunch.com ("the site", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Last updated 16 October 2026. ## What SwipeToLaunch is A community poll for new products. Visitors swipe to vote (launch or pass) on product and founder listings, and anyone can add a listing. Scores reflect what voters said, not our opinion. A listing is not an endorsement, review, or recommendation by us, and we are not affiliated with the products listed unless we say so. ## Using the site You can browse, vote and add listings without an account. Signing in, with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email address, is optional. If you sign in, keep your Google account and your email account secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person per account. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU and UK) to use the site. ## Fair voting One person, one vote per product. You agree not to: - vote more than once on the same product or founder, for example by clearing cookies, using multiple browsers, devices, accounts or networks, or asking others to vote in a coordinated way to manipulate a score; - use bots, scripts or automated tools to vote, or to scrape the site in a way that disrupts it (the public JSON API, Markdown pages and MCP server are fine to use within reasonable limits); - buy, sell, trade or offer rewards for votes. We may discard votes, reset scores, or remove listings that we reasonably believe were manipulated. ## Adding listings and profiles When you add a product or founder profile, you confirm that: - the product is real and the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge; - you have the right to share any images and text you upload; - a founder profile with your name on it is about you, and you are not impersonating anyone. You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reformat (for example resize images or compose cards) and distribute it on the site, its Markdown and JSON versions, its MCP server, and when sharing links to the site, for as long as it is listed. To draft a listing, the site reads the public page at the link you submit and uses an AI model to summarise it. Check the draft before publishing: you are responsible for what you publish. ## Free and paid listings A listing is either **free** or on one of the paid plans: **Ship** ($9), **Boost** ($19) and **Spotlight** ($29). A **free listing** goes live once the "Featured on SwipeToLaunch" badge is on your product's homepage and you have clicked "Verify". By verifying, you let us fetch your product's public website once and then roughly once a week to check the badge is still there. While it is verified, the link from your listing to your site is a normal (followed) link. If the badge is removed, the listing is paused until the badge is back, and the link is nofollow in the meantime. **Followed links.** Only two things make the link from a listing to its site a followed link: a verified badge, or any paid plan. Paid links are plain followed links, not marked sponsored. Every other outbound link on the site, including links in listing descriptions, founder profiles and app-store buttons, is `nofollow`. The badge is for product websites you control; putting it on a page you don't own, or hiding it from visitors, counts as manipulation. **Paid plans.** Each paid plan is a one-time fee in US dollars, shown before you pay, paid through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and adds any tax due where you are. A paid listing goes live as soon as the payment clears, with no badge needed, and its link to your site stays a followed link for as long as it is listed. On top of that: - **Ship** ($9): nothing more; no placement. - **Boost** ($19): placed first in the swipe deck and at the top of the leaderboard for 7 days. - **Spotlight** ($29): placed first in the swipe deck and at the top of the leaderboard for 30 days; pinned on the home page for the same 30 days; a gold tick beside its name for as long as it is listed. Placement periods run from the day the payment clears, or from the end of a placement still running. To move up a plan you pay the difference between the two prices, as long as what you already bought is still running (Ship always counts, since its perks are permanent); after a placement has ended, a plan is bought at its full price. Plans never go down. No plan changes a listing's score: votes are counted the same way for every listing. Prices may change for new purchases; a listing you have already paid for keeps what it bought. We don't guarantee any search-engine, traffic or ranking result from a listing or a followed link. **Refunds.** If we remove a paid listing for breaking these terms, the fee is not refunded. If we remove it for any other reason within 30 days of a payment, or if a technical fault on our side kept it from going live or kept its placement from running, email [hello@swipetolaunch.com](mailto:hello@swipetolaunch.com) and we will refund that payment in full through Dodo Payments. Otherwise a payment is non-refundable once the listing has gone live on that plan, since what it bought has been delivered. Taxes, where applicable, are shown at checkout and on the invoice Dodo Payments issues. ## What is not allowed Don't submit or upload anything that: - is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or promotes illegal activity; - infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights; - is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or violent; - contains malware, phishing, or links designed to harm visitors; - is spam, or impersonates a person or company. Don't try to break, overload or get around the site's security, rate limits or moderation. ## Moderation and removals We may review, edit (for example to fix a category or broken image), hold, hide or remove any listing or profile, and restrict access for anyone who breaks these terms, at our discretion and without notice. If your product or your name is listed and you want it corrected, claimed or taken down, or you believe something on the site infringes your rights, email [hello@swipetolaunch.com](mailto:hello@swipetolaunch.com) with the link and what should change. ## Product names and logos Product names, logos and screenshots belong to their owners and are shown to identify the product being voted on. Their appearance does not imply any partnership with or endorsement by those owners. ## Links to other sites Listings link to third-party websites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices. Visit them at your own risk. ## Our content The site's design, code and branding belong to SwipeToLaunch. Public scores and listing data are offered through open APIs; you may use them with attribution to SwipeToLaunch and a link back to the listing. ## No warranties The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that scores, rankings or listing information are accurate or complete. Don't rely on the site for investment, purchasing or other important decisions. ## Limitation of liability To the fullest extent the law allows, SwipeToLaunch is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or anything listed on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of 100 US dollars and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived. You agree to take responsibility for claims made against us because of content you submitted or your breach of these terms. ## Privacy How we handle personal data is described in the [Privacy Policy](https://swipetolaunch.com/privacy), which forms part of these terms. ## Ending your use You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account, profile or listings. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms. The sections on licences, disclaimers and liability continue to apply afterwards. ## Changes We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will say so on the site before they take effect.
