## About

CarScout watches dealer listings for you while you shop for a car. You set up a "scout" with your criteria: models, price range, mileage, year range, colors to include or exclude, and a search radius. CarScout then checks its nationwide dealer listing source every day. You get one email digest, sent only on days with new matches or price drops.

For each listing, CarScout shows days on market when that data is available, plus any price changes it has seen while tracking. You can use this to compare similar cars and go into a seller conversation with some evidence. It also supports VIN tracking and multiple scouts at once. The site has free tools too, including a VIN decoder, a recall lookup and an MCP server, along with market intel pages and price charts.

Plans start at $5 per week with three scouts, and you can add more (up to 10, 25 or 50). Weekly, monthly and yearly billing are offered, and you can cancel anytime.

## How the score works

The percentage is the raw share of swipes that went right. Rankings weigh that share against the number of swipes (a prior of 25 swipes at 50%), so a high score from a handful of swipes ranks below a slightly lower score from many. Anyone can swipe without an account; each browser or account swipes a product once.
